Frøy Aagre selected for European Jazz Lauch
This year Frøy Aagre is one of four Norwegian jazz artists to be promoted worldwide with the European Jazz Launch program.
Aagre was recently selected for European Jazz Launch, an international program for Norwegian jazz musicians that give additional opportunities to be marketed and booked on a number of key clubs and festivals around the world. The other three selected musicians are Håkon Kornstad, pianist Helge Lien and his trio, and guitarist Stian Westerhus.
“The timing is perfect now that I have launched the new ACT-album, and are touring in Europe, says Aagre. Rikskonsertene-Norwegian Concert Institute, West Norwegian Jazz Center and the Norwegian Jazz Forum collaborate on the project, with support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway.
The saxophonist release the critically acclaimed album; Cycle of Silence, on the German label ACT, and the European tour includes the legendary jazz club Ronnie Scott’s in London.
